Huge Rise In Measles

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-31 - 15:15:11

There has been a huge rise of the incidence of measles this summer, to such an extent that the NHS will be conducting a media campaign to get kiddies vaccinated.

I feel this is a direct result of the ridiculous MMR scare that was being crapped about by all and sundry and the chattering classes who believed it and did not have their children vaccinated.

GP surgeries have been informed that as a result of the campaign there may be a bit of a surge of patients suddenly requiring the vaccination. One can only hope that they are correct.

Measles can kill and as evidence is increasing, so can scaremongering.

Princess Diana - Give Us A Break

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-31 - 13:04:06

Why oh why all this gnashing of teeth and wailing about Princess Diana having been dead 10 years. There was far too much made of it when she actually died!!! About time all of these Diana addicts got over it as far as I am concerned.

All over the papers and the TV again, drives me up the wall.

Give us a break. Not everybody thought she was some kind of saint and couold see her for what she really was.

Going To Uni? - Just For You

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-30 - 14:27:09

The great Frank Zappa, musician and all round nutter said the following:

"If you want to get laid, go to college. If you want an education, go to the library."

So are a few good shags worth the student loan?

Have a think.

George Bush - Humour "Its a cracker"

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-30 - 08:53:21

Think you all might like this one. Made me laugh for sure.

George Bush has a heart attack and dies. Obviously, he goes to hell where the devil is waiting for him.

I'm not sure what to do,' says the devil. 'You're on my list but I have no room for you. You definitely have to stay here, so I'm going to have to let someone else go. I've got three folks here who weren't quite as bad as you.

I'll let one of them go, but you have to take their place. I'll even let you decide who leaves.'

George thought that sounded pretty good, so he agreed.

The devil opened the first room. In it was Richard Nixon and a large pool of water. He kept diving in and climbing out, over and over. Such was his fate in hell.

'No!' George said. 'I don't think so. I'm not a good swimmer and don't think I could do that all day long.'

The devil led him to the next room. In it was Tony Blair with a sledge hammer and a room full of rocks. All he did was swing the hammer, time after time.

'No!' I've got this problem with my shoulder. I would be in constant agony if all I could do was break rocks all day', said George.

The devil opened a third door. In it, George saw Bill Clinton lying on the floor with his arms staked over his head, and his legs staked in a spread-eagle pose. Bent over him was Monica Lewinsky, doing what she does best.

George Bush looked at this in disbelief for a while and finally said, 'Yeah, I can handle this.'

The devil smiled and said 'Ok, Monica, you're free to go!

A Quotation From The Heart - Obviously

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-29 - 22:57:35

Okay here is a good one. Who said the following;

"Mine is the first generation able to contemplate the possibility that we may live our entire lives without going to war or sending our children to war."

Go on - have a guess. Bet you can't get it!!!

Okay I will give you a clue.

It rhymes with Boney Flair.

Remember Iraq and Afghanistan? Anybody want to contemplate some more?

A True Thought

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-29 - 20:55:12

In this world of Political Correctness, Spin Doctors and Celebrity Worship.

Plastic tits, botox and false tans.

The veritable worship of Celebrities.

The constant excusing of bad bahaviour, drug abuse, lax morals and violence.

The following rings true like a tuned, tolling bell.

"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."

George Orwell said that decades ago.

Listen up politicians of today.

Mandela - Terrorist Or Freedom Fighter

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-29 - 20:27:09

Umkhonto we Siswe. (I believe it means something like The Spear of Vengence).

Probably not something that you have ever heard of. What is it? It is the name of the military (sic) arm of the African National Congress. It is the organisation that planned and carried out attacks on the civilian population of South Africa in the cause of freedom for the black South Africans. These attacks were either bombings or shootings in the main. Indiscriminately killing men, women and children. Nelson Mandela was the leader of this organisation.

Nelson Mandela was also the man that led the black South Africans to liberation against a vicious, racist, apartheid regime.

So we have a dicotomy.

On the one hand a terrorist and on the other the salvation of a nation.

The world looks at Mandela now as the latter and forgets the former.

Never has there been a case of "One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter" which has proved the statement quite so effectively.

Interesting thought no?

Amy Winehouse - Uurrrrggggghhhh

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-29 - 09:52:43

Just seen pictures of this female in the papers. What a mess.
(Not going to inflict a picture on you here. My blog has far too much taste  )

I hope she can really sing because she has nothing else going for her.

Is she really popular amongst the youngsters of this country?

I don't know about boycotting her records until she stops doing drugs, but they should really boycott them until she agrees not to go and see another tatooist!!!!

When You Die ....

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-27 - 22:09:45

I was talking to an old boy today (80 years old), one of lifes true gentlemen, that I have known for years. He told me that he has only got a couple of months left because he has the big C. Had a long chat with him. At the end he asked me to ensure that I remember him, because as long as people remember you then you aren't really dead, just your body has given up.

He has been a member of the sporting fraternity for a long time. I told him that it wasn't only me that would remember him but a lot of others besides. He said then in that case he would be more alive when he is dead than he is now.

Thought that was a really lovely and poignant way of looking at things.

Just Sensational ....

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-27 - 14:38:06

Just been for a run up on the beach which is less than 400 yards from my house. It was absolutely sensational up there.

The sky was a stunning blue flecked with the very occassional cotton wool pure white cloud. The sea picked up the beautiful blue of the sky and reflected it back in a darker hue. The sand was a delightful caramel colour interspersed with multi-hued small stones and rocks.

It looked as though the celestial estate agent had polished up for a viewing by a very rich prospective buyer.

I can think of nowhere better to go and abuse my aging body than there.

A Gun Conundrum

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-26 - 08:53:08

Marvellously well organised country we have when it comes to gun laws.

We are now in the position where those who wish to shoot legitimately, sports shooting etc. cannot have a weapon to allow them to do that. This to the extent where our national shooting team have to go abroad just to practice. Madness!!!!

On the other hand if you live in Liverpool and know the right people you can apparently hire a gun for £50, no questions asked and go out and shoot at who you wanit, including 11 year olds. When guns are recovered by the police in the area there is ballistic proof that the guns have been used in 5 or more different crimes.Madness!!!!

Restricting Guns!

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-25 - 08:02:47

Listened to our fragrant Home Secretary Whats-Her-Name Thingy talking about the recent shooting. You know the shooting. Not of the two blokes in Liverpool last night, nor the shooting of the biker in the Midlands and certainly not the attempted shooting of the police on the M5 yesterday .. no .. the 11 year old kid Rhys.

Well she came out with the statement that the government is going to make the restriction of guns to the criminals a priority. They are going to try and stop the weapons coming into the country.

She said this really seriously, with all the gravitas that she could muster (not much I have to say).

So they have actually been FORCED to do something at last. The toss-pots have been in power for 10 years, presiding of the descent of this country into a violent place and NOW they decide to do something about it!!

What a fatuous entity they really are. Media led and media driven. Reacting to events and without the ability to foresee problems.

Totally bloody useless.

Oh and please don't tell me that this is a new government blah-de-blah. All of the members of it were members of the previous one. Why? Because they have not had the decency to have an election to allow the mass unwashed the ability to choose who we want for Prime Minister.

And so it goes on ....... Long live Emperor Brown.

Why This Sudden Urge ......

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-24 - 13:13:05

To play a musical instrument? I don't know what is going on in my head just recently but I have an urge to play a musical instrument. I haven't felt like this in the thick end of 35 years so what do I do?

I once tried the piano .... I wasn't good enough to be described as crap.

I once tried the guitar ..... ditto.

I have just therefore purchased a mouth organ and "How to play" book and CD from ebay.

Ah well at least the noise will probably frighten all the cats.

I Want To Vomit ...

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-24 - 11:16:00

After seeing the gut-wrenching pictures of Red Ken Livingstone crying while he apologises for London's involvement in the slave trade of 200 years ago. What a complete prat this man is.

Is there nothing he won't do to win a few votes?

Hope he wasn't apologising on behalf of me. I wasn't there and didn't do it.

A Law A Day - No Way

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-23 - 20:12:03

Carrying on the crime, murder, law theme. Seen a statistic today that showed that this wonderful government of ours has put 3,000 laws on the statute books in the last 10 years. 300 a year or almost one a day.

What bloody good has it done us? None. The courts can't keep up, the police can't keep up and it all becomes just so much hot air.

We don't need more laws, we just need the ones that we have got upholding.

Listened to the air-bubble Home Secretary Whats-her-name Smith on the tv tonight and all she can offer is some more tough laws.

How long before these wasters learn the lesson?

Probably never.

Remember the ASBOs (they worked well didn't they) well apparently they are now being seen as too tough by the liberal toss-pots in charge of youth crime and now there is something called a Good Behaviour Contract (something like that anyway. I was too busy vomitting to listen closely). Apparently the young hooligans, supposing they can read and write, are going to sign up to behave themselves. Yes right. Really going to work that is.

We are coming second in a race with only one participant.

11 Year Old And Shot In The Neck - What?

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-23 - 10:37:48

Okay folks. Just how low can the dross in this country actually go. You know the ones I mean. Knife carrying, gun toting imbeciles, with very low intelligence and even less morals. Ramping about in their hoodies and replica branded clothing sneering at and cocking a snoop at society. A society which they leech from as they live on benefits and a society that they clearly hold in utter contempt.

One of the ilk, no doubt, has sunk low enough to shoot an 11 year old child in the neck, killing him!!

What is that all about?

Gangs, knives, guns, abuse, violence. A pretty picture of a large number of the youths of today.

A product of the Labour mantras, "Education, education, education" and "Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime". This latest incident really puts that into perspective.

This will probably turn out to be an 11 year old being gunned down by a teenager. What on earth are teenagers doing with guns? Don't their parents have any idea what is going on? Do they care?

Drug users and pushers are viewed as victims and not as criminals, murderers and violent criminals are not punished but "rehabilitated". This outlook just is not working. Doesn't anybody actually understand all of this? Is there not a realisation that society has now become so liberal that it has started to disintegrate through lack of real structure?

Children having sex with children, producing children that they cannot provide for or bring up properly.

Is anybody in power going to do anything about this? Are the government going to remove the red tape and ridiculous human rights shackles from the Police Force allowing them to do their job properly? Or are we, the normal population of this country going to be expected to sort the murderous yob culture out. Taking back the streets and making them safe needs doing, and doing quickly. Government better sought something out before the population starts taking action on this. I really think this is going to happen. There appears to be a groundswell of opinion that leads me to this conclusion.

Emperor Brown are you listening?

Now I know that not all the youngsters of today are like that, I mix with them both in my working life and also in a sporting environment. This very fact means that we should be looking at making society safer and fairer for those youngsters who do participate in it.

I may be nothing more than an aging reactionary, but I will tell you one thing. In my youth there were not these problems. There was respect for society and those in it. People were more self-reliant and far more willing to behave in a way that allowed society to function, i.e. taking other peoples feelings and desires, wants and needs into account. There were rules to live by and a societal framework to live within. In large areas of our society today these have disappeared and we are now seeing the negative results.

Reported yesterday that more people have left this country and emigrated overseas in the last year than since 1991. Is there any wonder? Even those that have come to this country in the last 15 years to live and work are deciding to go home in ever increasing numbers, nearly 200,000 last year. Who can blame them?

The Real Truth

by Irish-Le-Feaux @ 2007-08-22 - 14:57:24

One for the ladies to consider, and the men to snigger at;

TRAIN TICKET

Three men and three women are travelling by train.

At the station, the three women each buy a ticket and watch as the three men buy just one ticket.

"How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket?" asks one of the women.

"Watch and learn," answers one of the men.

They all board the train. The three women take their respective seats but all three men cram into a toilet together and close the door.

Shortly after the train has departed, the guard comes around collecting tickets.

He knocks on the toilet door and says, "Ticket, please. The door opens just a crack, and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand.

The guard takes it and moves on.

The women see this happen and agree it was quite a clever idea; so, after the game, they decide to do the same thing on the return trip and save some money.

When they get to the station they buy a single ticket for the return trip but see, to their astonishment, that the three men don't buy any ticket at all!!

"How are you going to travel without a ticket?" says one perplexed woman.

"Watch and learn," answer the men.

When they board the train, the three women cram themselves into a toilet, and the three men cram into another toilet just down the way.

Shortly after the train is on its way, one of the men leaves his toilet and walks over to the toilet in which the women are hiding.

The man knocks on their door and says, "Ticket, please."

I'm still trying to figure out why women ever think they are smarter than men.

Many a true word said in jest people.
